I’m late a lot when it comes to movie news, but I like to think that at least I deliver, and that’s something. In this case, I deliver the David Cronenberg-meets-Closer psychosexual horror flick Mindflesh. This tasty little thriller is one of those films I cannot wait to see, which irks me because as it’s a British low budget film, it’s not only showing only in festivals, but in foreign festivals (and yes, I regard San Francisco as foreign, being from the South East). Hopefully somebody will pick it up and give it a lovely little DVD with lovely little bonus features. MindFlesh shows off some pretty endearing work in its creature designs, and being that I related it to one of my all-time favorite directors up above, you can bet your sweet ass that I’m looking forward to those.
You can check out the extra-spiffy official site over here, which features a trailer, behind the scenes clips, reviews, a link to their podcast, wallpaper downloads, and a veritable fuck-load of other neat little features. If you still don’t feel like clicking the link, here’s a synopsis (via IMDb) and a few production stills to wet your appetite:
MindFlesh is a psycho-sexual horror/thriller about obsession. Chris Jackson is a taxi driver with a childhood trauma. The trauma has made him a portal for obsessions to pass from the mind to the physical world and hence disrupt the world’s multiple planes of reality. Extraterrestrials that police the universe threaten to kill Chris’ friends unless he conquers his past.

Plan on reading a review the week this bad boy comes to DVD.
